Education @ Tennessee State Museum

The Tennessee State Museum is the largest museum in the state devoted to Tennessee life, people, and history. As such, we make a special effort to provide programs for Tennessee’s school groups and resources for Tennessee’s teachers through the programs listed below. Due to continuing preparation for the new museum, opening next year, programs and programming options are subject to change.

A day at the Tennessee State Museum and State Capitol provides an experience your students will never forget, and it’s all free! Reservations are required for all programs.

School Tours Deadline Announced
In preparation for the new museum, opening in the fall of 2018, the current museum will be available to schedule school programs through April 29, 2018. We will not take any reservations past that date. Capitol tours will continue to be available. If you have any questions, please contact us at 615-741-0830 or at public.programs@TN.Gov.
