Exhibits at the Tennessee State Museum begin with prehistoric people and continue through the early 1900s. There are special displays about explorers, pioneers, Civil War, Reconstruction, and even a 3,000-year-old mummy! The State Museum 's Civil War holdings of uniforms, battle flags, and weapons are among the finest in the nation. Reservations are required for all museum programs.
