Tennessee State Museum:

Open: Tuesday - Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday: 1 to 5 p.m.
Closed: Mondays and four holidays: New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. |

The Military Museum:
|
The hours at this museum are different than the State Museum. The Military Branch is open 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m, closes one hour and reopens from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday.
Closed Sundays and Mondays and the same four holidays. |

The State Capitol:
|
Open for guided tours Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed holidays. ***Please note that the Tennessee State Capitol will be closed during part of 2012 for renovations. Tours of the building’s interior will be suspended until the Capitol reopens in January 2013. The closing date will be announced immediately after the conclusion of the Tennessee General Assembly’s 2012 session (which will probably occur at the end of May). Admission:

Admission to the museum's permanent exhibits, the Military Museum and the State Capitol is always free. Most temporary exhibits are also free although admission may be charged to some.

Photography: Photography is allowed in the museum, but you must turn your flash off. Some special exhibits also prohibit photography. When a special exhibition prohibits photography, a sign stating the ban will be placed at the beginning of the exhibition.
